Simple Interfaces by

a Bay Area Based Designer

Design and photojournalism have a lot in common. They are both about getting to know people. For design this means understanding the user’s true purpose of the app and what roadblocks are in their way of accomplishing their goals. Design and photojournalism are both about saying more with less. In journalism it is using less words or fewer pictures to tell a story. I apply this practice to design by simplifying the user path when using the product, for example, less screens to go through to accomplish a task. This creative process results in interfaces user testers consistently find easy to use.

I look forward to hearing about your next project.
